I believe that clients, students, and supervises hold the answers within themselves. My role is to act as a catalyst for change—empowering each person to grow, learn, and become the best version of themselves through thoughtful challenges, proven techniques, and compassionate guidance.

With over 20 years’ experience in both therapeutic and community-based roles, I’ve supported a wide range of individuals including children and young people, survivors and perpetrators of domestic abuse, young offenders, and military veterans. My approach is shaped by this diverse background, blending a depth of knowledge with real-world understanding.

I am a qualified and experienced counsellor, youth and community worker, supervisor, lecturer, and trainer. My studies have culminated in an MSc in Military and Global Veteran Studies, as well as postgraduate qualifications in teaching and counselling. My academic career includes teaching on and leading higher education programmes—most recently at Master’s level—and designing and delivering my own counselling training courses.

My passion for counselling and education began in my teenage years while volunteering at a youth centre, supporting children and adolescents through life challenges. This early experience inspired me to pursue a BA in Community and Youth Work, making it my first professional path. I qualified as a counsellor in 2006 and have since worked across private practice, community projects, and education.

My clinical interests include work with young people, survivors of domestic violence, perpetrators of abuse, veterans, and those affected by trauma and conflict. My MSc research and practice focus on veterans and uniformed personnel, and I continues to offer part-time counselling to individuals and families experiencing life transitions, stress, anxiety, and trauma.

A proportion of my time is dedicated to pro bono work with charitable organisations, particularly in support of veterans and their families. I also offer clinical supervision to counsellors across a range of practice settings, including community counselling services and specialist fields.

As a lecturer, mentor, and supervisor, I draw on a rich clinical experience to provide students with current, practical insights into the counselling profession. I am committed to developing ethical, skilled, and reflective practitioners—counsellors who are not only well-trained but also deeply attuned to the needs of others.

In addition to my educational work, I consult for therapeutic schools and continue to champion wider access to counselling services. I see myself to be a lifelong learner, and I remain passionate about the emotional wellbeing of individuals and communities—and about helping others to grow with empathy, courage, and purpose.

I’m a transmasc nonbinary counsellor and educator with a background in person-centred counselling and psychology. My teaching is shaped by lived experience, neurodivergent insight, and a strong commitment to making learning spaces accessible, inclusive, and genuinely affirming.

I specialise in sex and relationships, neurodiversity, and GSRD (Gender, Sexuality, and Relationship Diversity), and I bring a pluralistic, trauma-aware approach to everything I do. I co-teach counselling courses and run CPD days that centre sensory-aware practice, creative tools, and care that meets people where they are — especially queer, disabled, and neurodivergent learners.

I’m known for being warm, clear, and a little bit mythic. I create spaces where students can show up fully — stim toys, questions, tangents and all. Whether we’re exploring theory, unpacking identity, or role-playing relational dynamics, I make room for curiosity, complexity, and connection.

He/Him

Admin, media and photographer

I am currently in my second year of a photography degree at the University of Suffolk but when I am not working on coursework or out taking photos, I work behind the scenes for CTS.

Mental health was always a very important thing at home when I was growing up, Mum and I spoke about it often, which I count myself to be incredibly luckily for.

There are two roles that I fill at CTS. My main role is admin meaning that I am the first point of contact. I also tend to manage the day-to-day operation of the Ri Punt CTS Facebook account.

Photography is my greatest passion but how peoples thoughts, feelings and experiences can shaping them into who they are will always interest me.
